About Faces 9/11 Commemoration and Fundraiser: A Wonderful Success (posted on September 12, 2005)
More than 175 About Faces staff members came together at each of our (4) Day Spa & Salon locations to offer our services, energy and support for the police officers, firefighters and military service personnel in our respective communities. Free haircuts and manicures were offered to service personnel. In addition spa and salon services were offered to clients and 100% of the proceeds are being donated to scholarship funds that have been established to honor the life of Marine Corporal Nicholas Lee Ziolkowski, who was killed in Fallujah on November 14, 2004. “Nick” was a gentle young man who was proud to serve the United States. He is representative of so many individuals who work daily to protect our freedoms and to make our communities and our nation a safer place.
The proceeds of the About Faces Fundraiser were $27, 292. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Nicholas Lee Ziolkowski Scholarship Funds at the Towson University and The Boys Latin School of Maryland.
